रेलवे में वर्तमान में 1 लाख 38 हजार पदों पर भर्ती पूरी की गई है अभी भी 2 लाख 40 हजार पद वर्तमान में रिक्त चल रहे हैं इन पदों पर रेलवे कर्मचारी संगठन की तरफ से रेलवे ग्रुप डी और पैरामेडिकल के पदों पर भर्ती के लिए मांग की गई है।
वैसे तो रेलवे में कई महीनो से भर्तीया चल रही है लेकिन वर्तमान में एक बड़ी भर्ती निकलने वाली है जो कि लगभग 100000 पदों पर ग्रुप डी के पदों पर भर्ती आयोजित करवाई जाएगी रेलवे सहायक लोको पायलट भर्ती में पदों की संख्या तीन गुना बढ़ा दी गई है यानी की 5696 पदों पर भर्ती होने की और इसे बढ़ाकर अब 18799 पड़ कर दिए गए हैं इसके साथ ही टेक्नीशियन के पदों के वर्तमान में निकली भर्ती के पदों की संख्या में भी वृद्धि की जा सकती है।
नई भर्ती के लिए रेलवे ने सभी जोनल से वर्तमान में जो रिक्त पद चल रहे हैं उनकी संख्या का आकलन करने के लिए 2025 तक बुरा मांगा है ऐसे में रेलवे ग्रुप डी के 1 लाख पदों पर भर्ती होने की संभावना है यह भर्ती लगभग अक्टूबर महीने में निकाली जा सकती है।
यहां पर जानकारी के अनुसार बताने की रेलवे में टेक्नीशियन के पदों पर भारी बढ़ोतरी की जाएगी अभी टेक्नीशियन की लगभग 9144 पदों पर भर्ती की जा रही है जो कि बाद करती है इस हजार तक की जा सकती है।
रेलवे में पैरामेडिकल स्टाफ की रिक्त पदों पर भी भर्ती की जाएगी पहले यह भर्ती संविदा आधार पर होने की योजना बनाई जा रही थी लेकिन मान्यता प्राप्त संगठनों के दबाव के बाद रेलवे अब पैरामेडिकल के लगभग 5000 पदों पर परमानेंट भर्ती करेगा।
